Atlanta Hot Dog Stand Raided, Shut Down; 4 Arrested
Wednesday, December 3, 2008 – updated: 6:45 pm EST December 3, 2008

ATLANTA -- Atlanta police, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, and the health department raided the "Jones Tasty Dogs" restaurant Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities said the hot dog restaurant on Joseph E. Boone Blvd. was "nothing but a nuisance" for 20 years.

Four people, including the owner, were arrested at the restaurant. Police said the four face a number of charges including possession of marijuana, possession of crack cocaine, and illegal alcohol sales. The restaurant was also cited for a number of health code violations, including having no hot water.

Officials shut the Tasty Dog down. Georgia Power and Atlanta Gas Light cut off services to the building.

Police said conditions inside the building were filthy.

Nearly two pounds of still-green plant material found in a 2,700-year-old grave in the Gobi Desert has just been identified as the world's oldest marijuana stash, according to a paper in the latest issue of the Journal of Experimental Botany.

A barrage of tests proves the marijuana possessed potent psychoactive properties and casts doubt on the theory that the ancients only grew the plant for hemp in order to make clothing, rope and other objects.

Have you ever worked or been with a person that wants to run the show? I mean they arent anyone of importance, but they wish they were in control? Saturday Bob and I went to the Vortex to eat a lil lunch. Parking downtown sucks leaving we got our cars booted! We paid to park we used the correct parking lot , but the space we used was for Utrect art supplies which is only 2 doors down from the restraunt we went to next but, since we didnt move after we left the store (but remember we still paid) and didnt read the fine print of the sign we were in the wrong so instead I ate a 65 burgers!
